Electrical Engineer – Standby Power & Energy Systems - Zeppelin

As an Electrical Engineer, you will work with technical solutions in electrical power, control systems, and power supply related to Caterpillar's products in standby power and energy systems. The role is broad and combines practical technical work with responsibilities for administration, follow-up, and reporting. You will be an important technical resource in the organization and provide support to the project department as well as to both internal and external stakeholders.

In your daily work, you will evaluate and analyze measurements, interpret technical documentation such as electrical diagrams, and participate in assembly and assembly management related to the installation of backup power systems and associated equipment. You will work with troubleshooting and commissioning of Caterpillar's power supply solutions, analyze system performance and measurement values, and work with control systems, PLC, and monitoring solutions. The role also includes technical support to customers and internal functions, where careful documentation and follow-up are a natural part of the work. Travel may be required.

Part of the role is to contribute to the development and improvement of Zeppelin's working methods in troubleshooting and commissioning. You will collaborate closely with the project department and support with technical advice, review, and decision-making within your area of responsibility.

We are looking for someone with a versatile engineering background focused on electrical and mechanical engineering, for example, as an operations engineer or marine engineer. You have good knowledge of electrical power, generator sets, engines and their auxiliary systems, as well as automation, with a particular focus on PLC control. You have excellent computer skills and communicate fluently in English, both spoken and written. Swedish or another Nordic language is an advantage, as is experience in project management and high voltage work.

You work in a structured and meticulous manner, enjoy both independent work and teamwork, and find it easy to communicate with colleagues, customers, and suppliers.
